Aileen is a senior solicitor at Bankside Law. Having trained at the nationally renowned specialist criminal firm Kingsley Napley, Aileen has a background in general crime but since 1990 has focused on “white collar crime” and is an acknowledged expert in that field, having appeared in the Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession as a recognised leader in the field of Criminal Fraud.

Aileen has defended in a number of large-scale fraud trials prosecuted by the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) and the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), including the Maxwell case. She has represented clients under investigation by a range of prosecuting authorities who

subsequently have not been prosecuted. Aileen has also defended in a series of murder and firearms cases.

Aileen is a member of the criminal law sub-committee of the City of Westminster and Holborn Law Society, the London Criminal Courts Solicitors’ Association (LCCSA) and the British Academy of Forensic Scientists.
