Marcus is an assistant solicitor at Bankside Law. His post qualification background is in general crime. He also spent a period of time as a prosecutor for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). He trained at a large National Commercial Firm, where he gained a firm grounding in the workings of the commercial world and assisted in corporate, regulatory, competition and outsourcing work which routinely involved high profile national and global corporate clients and government departments. Marcus has widespread experience of representing suspects in police interviews and advocating for defendants in the magistrates’ courts.
Marcus now specialises in serious crime and business crime, including high value money laundering and drug supply and importation.
Marcus has assisted in the writing of a chapter in a textbook on telecommunications law. He also delivers seminars on criminal law and procedure.
Marcus is a member of the London Criminal Courts Solicitors’ Association (LCCSA), the Young Fraud Lawyers Association (YFLA) and the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers (ARDL). He is also an Accredited Police Station Advisor.
