
Having recently relocated to London from Adelaide, South Australia, Craig is an admitted Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of Australia and Supreme Court of South Australia and has been practicing since 2005. He is currently in the process of qualifying as a solicitor in England and Wales in accordance with the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Regulations and in the meantime has joined Bankside Law as a paralegal.
Craig is passionate about criminal law and has several years experience in all aspects of criminal defence from providing preliminary solicitor advice to clients through to appearing as counsel in courts and personally conducting trials. He has had particular involvement in some large and extremely complex criminal matters.
Before moving to the UK, Craig spent four years at Michael Woods & Co – one of the largest criminal and traffic law firms in South Australia. He was part of the defence team for an accused alleged to have been involved in the “Snowtown Serial Murder Case” – one of the longest running criminal matters in Australian history. He has also worked on a number of other high profile criminal cases involving allegations of murder, sexual offences and endangering life; cases which have required him to address many complex legal and medical questions.Since joining Bankside Craig has worked on a multi million pound money laundering case, doctors’ disciplinary hearings at the GMC, a lengthy GCC disciplinary hearing and assisted with preparation for SRA disciplinary matters.
Craig is a member of the Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers (ARDL), the Young Fraud Lawyers Association (YFLA) and the Proceeds of Crime Lawyers Association (POCLA).
