Bankside Law has further improved its rankings in the annual Chambers UK directory, with the firm being described as having “an excellent track record of involvement in heavyweight investigations.”

According to Chambers the firm provides “high-quality representation on SFO and BERR investigations, confiscation proceedings and cross-border fraud”.

The firm retains its band three position within professional discipline, and is described as a firm which “certainly punches above its weight.” John Williams moves up to band one in this category and is described as "a tenacious litigator with a real eye for detail”.

Bill Wilson is noted as a key individual as head of the firm’s criminal team which has retained its position in the rankings having received instructions in some high profile cases including insider dealing, conspiracy to defraud, money laundering and attempted murder.

Managing Director John Williams commented: “As with our improving rankings in Legal 500 this is good news for Bankside Law. I am particularly pleased that Bill Wilson’s legal and client care abilities are receiving recognition on a wider scale. Our improvement on the professional disciplinary and regulatory front is also encouraging and in line with our current and future business strategy where we have plans for continued expansion. So watch this space!”
